Lippstadt, 13 March 2024. The international automotive supplier FORVIA HELLA is expanding its presence in the Chinese market with the establishment of HELLA (Nanjing) Electronics Co. Ltd. With the new company in Nanjing, FORVIA HELLA aims to address the growing demand for electronics components in China with significantly enhanced speed and agility. Initially focusing on energy management products, the company aims to progressively incorporate all existing product lines within FORVIA HELLA. Currently, it employs 20 individuals. With further development, the number of employees is intended to increase to 80. The overall investment volume is in the mid double-digit million-RMB (Renminbi) figures.

Strategically located near HELLA Nanjing Technical Center, the facility leverages advanced IT infrastructure, comprehensive office and R&D tools, and a seasoned team of engineers, laying a robust foundation for rapid commencement and sustained expansion. The company has already secured customer orders, with mass production of High-Voltage Current Sensors (HVCS) planned for April 2024.
FORVIA HELLA electronics has comprehensive R&D and manufacturing capabilities in China. With the addition of the new company, the Business Group electronics of FORVIA HELLA has 6 locations in China (including joint ventures), including 4 R&D centers, and has about 2,400 employees in China, thereof about 700 dedicated to research & development.
