HELLA IN CHINA

HELLA activities in China date back to the early 1980s.The first delegation visited China in 1982 and started doing business with technology license agreements. In 1995, HELLA founded two joint ventures, one in Changchun and one in Shanghai, for the production of automotive lighting systems, demonstrating HELLA’s profound recognition of the future prospects of the Chinese market.

After more than 10 years’ development, HELLA continues to grow within China due to its advanced technology, innovative ideas and sincere cooperation. Currently, HELLA has established 16 entities including production locations, joint ventures, technical centers and management offices in 10 cities with more than 7,300 employees throughout China. HELLA’s core business includes providing lighting and electronics products for manufacturers, and automotive accessory products for the aftermarket  and automotive repair businesses.  Customers include leading automakers, system manufactures as well as dealers and repair businesses.  All of HELLA business sectors have taken root in China, continuing to grow together!
