Parking Aid Acoustic Signal Permanently Sounds

On the vehicles listed above, the acoustic signal of the parking aid, also known as PDC (Park Distance Control), may sound permanently when reverse gear is engaged.

Remedy:

First read the error memory using a suitable diagnostic unit.

Then check the hardware components (sensors, cables, etc.) for dirt and damage. If no fault can be determined, the cause for the problem above may be faulty software for the PDC (Park Distance Control) electronic control unit.

In this case, please inquire at an authorized specialist garage. A software update on the control unit will be carried out here.
