Engine does not start.
If the engine of the vehicle listed above does not start, the cause may be a defective power steering hydraulic pump.
To find the source of the fault in this case, the power steering’s CAN bus communication must be checked. Proceed as follows if no communication can be established.
- Disconnect the hydraulic pump’s cable harness plug (power steering).
- Start the engine.
If the engine starts although the cable harness plug is disconnected, the cause may be a defective hydraulic pump (power steering).
A new hydraulic pump should be installed to correct the problem.
