Poor engine operation, loss of power, and the engine malfunction indicator lamp lights up

There may be a loss of engine power in the above vehicles, in which case the engine malfunction indicator lamp also lights up.

The following error codes are stored in the engine control module:

· P2282 meaning leak-in of air between butterfly valve and inlet valve

· P2458 meaning diesel particulate filter, regeneration process, malfunction of timeframe

If a visual inspection of the engine compartment shows that the charger intake hose has come loose from the base of the intercooler, the reason for this may be a faulty clamp.

The clamp may not be clamping sufficiently.

To solve the problem, the connection should be cleaned and a screw clamp should be used to fix the hose in place.

The vehicle manufacturer has already addressed the issue.

Screw clamps are being used in production from Vehicle Identification Number: WOLGT8EM1A1109304.
