Hyundai Tucson - bonnet warning lamp without function

When the bonnet is open, a message appears on the instrument cluster as an illuminated warning lamp. On the vehicles mentioned above, this function may fail or the warning lamp remains off.

If other causes (e.g. bonnet lock contact) can be ruled out as the error, it is possible to remedy the situation by updating the software of the instrument cluster control unit. Contacting a Hyundai dealership is advisable.
