No entry in the event memory
The front right ground cable connection may be faulty if irregular engine running is identified in the above vehicles and there is no entry in the control unit’s event memory. Hardening of the insulation material can lead to the cable breaking in the area of the tubular cable lug.
The ground point is located on the right wheel housing behind the headlight in the driving direction.
The resulting voltage drop has a negative impact on the function of the components of the injection system and therefore causes the control unit to shift the adaptation limit and compensate for the interruptions. In this case, check, repair or replace the cabling.
