Fiat Grande Punto - engine does not start and instrument cluster does not function

If the engine does not start and / or the instrument cluster remains dead when the ignition is switched on with the above-mentioned vehicles, the cause could be a defective ground connection in the engine compartment. In order to remedy this, the ground connection from the battery to the body and also the connection from the body to the gearbox / engine (see picture) should be checked. When carrying out such checks, it is important to loosen the connections and examine both the cables and the contact surfaces most closely.
