ESP/ABS pilot lamp lights up
If a customer complains about the above error, this could be caused by the brake pedal position sensor. Various problems may also occur with cruise control, such as:
- Intermittent or complete failure of the vehicle-speed limiter.
- Intermittent or complete failure of cruise control.
- Cruise control switches on by itself.
The stop lights may also fail. In such cases, the old position sensor must be replaced with a modified version. An adapter lead must also be installed. During installation, ensure that no areas of the lead will become worn.
