Automatic braking system on Citroën C3 shows error message
On vehicles with Emergency Brake Assist, the error message mentioned above may suddenly appear in the instrument panel in German or English (automatic braking system fault). The message then usually appears at low speed or when the vehicle is stopped. Error codes have not been stored in the control unit
Check all system-relevant electrical and mechanical components, including the power supply, to eliminate the issue. If a fault is not identified in this process, a software update may be necessary to eliminate the fault.
Software can be updated using Hella Gutmann macsRemote Services or a pass-thru-compatible Mega-Macs series diagnostic device. Furthermore, registered access to the vehicle manufacturer's online portal is required. If the appropriate equipment is not available, please contact an authorised specialist workshop.
