Failure of power steering

If the customer complains about the above problem, this could be caused by the controller for the ABS/anti-skid system (ASC) and the electronic stability program (DSC). The failure of power steering may occur immediately after engine start. But It is not uncommon that the system is working perfectly after restarting the engine. However, the problem typically reappears after a short time. In addition, the fault code 130 may be stored (No signal from speedometer). In this case, an upgraded controller must be installed.

Caution!

In vehicles with a DSC, the steering angle sensor must be taught again following the repair.
