The mirrors' folding function is disturbed, and the central locking system is possibly impaired

On the vehicles mentioned above, the outside mirrors may not fold in when the vehicle is locked with the remote control. Furthermore, the locking function may be impaired when using the remote control. A software error in the multi-function control unit could be causing the problem. To remedy this, the vehicle battery and the vehicle electrical system voltage should be checked beforehand. If another remote key exists, check whether the function works when using it. In addition, the error memories must be read out and, if necessary, deleted. If this does not lead to the desired outcome, a software update can be carried out on the multi-function control unit to eliminate the problem. A software update can be carried out, for example, via Hella-Gutmann macsRemote Services or a PassThru-capable diagnostic device from the mega macs series. Furthermore, registered access to the vehicle manufacturer's online portal is required. If the appropriate equipment is not available, please contact an authorised specialist workshop.
