Engine will not start

Engine will not start

If a customer complains about the above problem, this could be caused by a defective crankshaft sensor. The vehicle cannot be started sporadically, irrespective of whether the engine is warm or cold. Various error codes may also be saved in the event memory. An inductive sensor is installed in this vehicle. This can be checked relatively easily by measuring the resistance. The resistance must be 900 Ohm. If not, the sensor must be replaced. The sensor can be ordered wholesale using HELLA part number 6PU 009 146-631 (see Fig.).
