Electromechanical horn DL50 V2
Sound for greater safety: Signal horns are required in vehicles by law so that other road users can be made aware of dangerous situations in a clearly audible manner. With its piercing warning tone, the HELLA Heavy Tone Horn DL50 V2 is particularly suitable for commercial vehicles and generates maximum attention. The DL50 V2 is particularly robust through its screw-free, riveted assembly.
The horn is operated by a control current coming from the steering wheel. A relay ensures a voltage dip-free control current. The control current activates the electromagnet of the signal horn. This in turn attracts a metal core or armature, and above it, the steel diaphragm. When the diaphragm is tightened, the power supply is interrupted, and the armature and diaphragm return to the original position and the process starts again. This creates a vibration, which becomes audible as a signal.
The HELLA S92 horn DL50 V2 is available with a low (310 Hz) and a high (380 Hz) tone, each as a 12 V or 24 V variant, and produces a sound pressure level of approx. 114 dB(A) at 2 m distance. You can choose between variants with flat connector or DEUTSCH connector.
