LED flasher unit
Well protected against failure: In accordance with ECE R48, a failure control of LED direction indicators is required by law; they must be indicated to the driver acoustically or using indicator lamps. HELLA LED flasher units ensure this control.
The HELLA flasher units alert in the event of a lamp failure, both by doubling the flashing frequency (e-controller) and by switching off the indicator lamp (P-controller).
The LED flasher units can be operated in conjunction with ISO 13207-compliant LED direction indicators. The flasher unit checks the energy requirement, or the so-called pulse, that occurs after the direction indicator is switched on. This pulse is 21 W (equivalent to the pulse of an incandescent bulb) at the time of 100-130 ms. Bulbs and ISO LED lamps can be operated in any combination on the ISO 13207-conformant HELLA flasher units. This is particularly advantageous for towing vehicles that are often used with different trailers.
