Well protected against failure: HELLA control units for current monitoring are used for custom functional monitoring of LED headlamps and beacons. They determine the average energy requirements based on a continuous current measurement.
The control unit is connected upstream of the LED headlamp and continuously measures the current consumption when switched on.
HELLA offers two 12 V and one 24 V control unit variants, which indicate the correct function of the headlamp through a high gauge at the status output when a minimum current value is exceeded, and headlamp defects by a low gauge when the current falls below the minimum value. Monitoring takes place exclusively when the ignition and headlamps are switched on.
