Porsche 911 - Uneven abrasion and increased wear on disc brake pads
Porsche
Model series 911
Type 964, 933, 996
Uneven abrasion and increased wear on disc brake pads.
More difficult brake pad installation.
If the brake pads on the front or rear axle can only be inserted with great difficulty on the vehicle models listed above, then this may be caused by a brake calliper guide plate deformed by creeping corrosion and dirt. This dirt leads to the brake pads seizing in the guides, thereby resulting in high wear, uneven abrasion, squealing and increased temperatures on the wheel brakes.

Installation note
The following work should be carried out:
- Properly clean the brake calliper, remove and clean the guide plates if necessary.
- Check the guide plates for damage and replace them if necessary.
- Clean and grease the contact surfaces of the guide plates.
We recommend using HELLA metal-free permanent lubricant for this.
