Brake pedal stiff

The above-mentioned problems can be linked to the positioning of the brake pedal being too tight or too stiff.

Because varying temperatures can prevail in the footwell of a car, it can sometimes happen that the brake pedal does not return to its initial position. The result of this is that there can be slightly increased pressure exerted on the hydraulic brake system, which in turn leads to grinding brakes and an unintentional triggering of the brake light switch.

In such an instance, it is necessary to check that the brake pedal in the pedal unit is running freely and smoothly. If any kind of defect is discovered, the entire pedal unit has to be replaced in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions as this unit cannot be readjusted or repaired in any way.
