Opel Corsa-D - Anti-lock braking system (ABS) warning light activated

If the error code C0035 "Front left wheel speed sensor" or C0040 "Front right wheel speed sensor" is read out from the vehicles above, a possible cause for this could be a soiled ABS sensor ring.

In this case, the following work should be carried out before renewing the sensors.

• Remove the ABS sensor
• Check the sensor ring for soiling such as grease or dirt particles through the opening in the steering knuckle
• If necessary, clean the ABS sensor ring using a cotton bud immersed in brake cleaner
• Dry the components with compressed air

Then check the sensor ring if the cleaning has attained the desired result.
