Air-conditioning system/Display for outside temperature

The vehicles mentioned above may experience a failure of the display for outside temperature. This affects the control of the air-conditioning system.

The outside temperature sensor is house in the left-hand wing mirror (see figure). A broken cable in the mirror can cause a failure in the temperature display.

This lead to control problems when using the air-conditioning system.

We should proceed as follows to rectify the problem:

  • Remove the rear cap from the mirror
  • Remove the actuator motor
  • Remove the mirror cover
  • Dismantle the mirror housing
  • Locate and repair the damaged part of the wiring harness
  • Perform a functional test
  • Re-assemble the mirror
