Air-conditioning system/Display for outside temperature
The vehicles mentioned above may experience a failure of the display for outside temperature. This affects the control of the air-conditioning system.
The outside temperature sensor is house in the left-hand wing mirror (see figure). A broken cable in the mirror can cause a failure in the temperature display.
This lead to control problems when using the air-conditioning system.
We should proceed as follows to rectify the problem:
- Remove the rear cap from the mirror
- Remove the actuator motor
- Remove the mirror cover
- Dismantle the mirror housing
- Locate and repair the damaged part of the wiring harness
- Perform a functional test
- Re-assemble the mirror
