On the vehicles listed above, there may be instances where the wiper arms become loose from the wiper arm holders. This is usually caused by a loosened hinge pin that connects the wiper arm to the holder. A poor wiping pattern, due to low contact force, may be indicative of loose wiper arms.

The vehicle manufacturer has already addressed the problem and notified the owners of the affected vehicles. It must be assumed, however, that for a variety of reasons not all vehicles have been checked or repaired.
