If the above error is discovered together with an illuminated ABS warning light, this may be due to the brake fluid pressure sensor.
The pressure sensor records the brake pressure in the hydraulic system and relays the value to the control unit. A signal evaluation error results in an error being entered in the control unit. As it is not possible to take measurements on the sensor itself, first of all check the parameters in this case. The setpoint should be 0 bar when the brake is not applied. The sensor must be replaced in the event of deviating values (figure).
The pressure sensor is integrated in the ABS hydraulic unit.
The vehicle manufacturer offers a repair kit for the ABS hydraulic unit.
This information can also be applied to other models with identical ABS systems.
