Engine cuts out after starting

With the above-mentioned vehicle, the engine either cuts out after starting it up or it fails when an attempt is made to drive off. It is also very difficult to start the engine again after such a failed attempt.

When the error memory is read, the following message can be seen:

- Faulty rail pressure sensor

The first thing to do is to use the relevant diagnostic equipment to check the fuel pressure.

If the pressure is non-existent or if it is very slight, the fuse of the pre-feed pump could be faulty or the main supply relay is defective.

In order to solve the problem, the fuse should be checked and also the main supply relay and, wherever necessary, these should be replaced.
