If the air-conditioning system fails in the vehicles above, the cause may be a faulty radiator fan.
When the air-conditioning system is switched on, the radiator/condenser fan is also activated automatically. If this is faulty, the fan module does not respond to the ECU. The air-conditioning system compressor is therefore not "activated" in the first place.
This relationship should be taken into account during troubleshooting, especially since the fault may not necessarily be stored in the ECU.
Tip: A slight tap on the fan is often enough to start up the fan again temporarily and thus confirm the fault
