The usual care as for all cleaning agents should be exercised when handling wheel cleaner. Sparingly apply the wheel cleaner in specific places to avoid contact with the brake disc and the brake system.
The contents of these cleaning agents can lead to damage to the brake system, impaired braking and permanently decreased comfort.
Apply these products with care, because less is more in this instance.
Use wheel cleaners that are applied using a paint brush, brush or sponge. The spread from sprays is too large.
If cleaner gets on the brake disc when cleaning the wheels, it should be thoroughly rinsed off with cold water. Braking repeatedly over the course of normal driving will clean the brake disc again.
The same applies when visiting a car wash.
The car wash should be used immediately after cleaning the wheels.
The concentration of the cleaning agent is diluted by the water and hardly has any impact on braking performance. Wet brakes normally return to full effectiveness after braking a few times.
