Function restriction caused by seat adjustment

If the driver's seat is moved to the forward-most position right up to the end stop on the above-mentioned vehicle model, this can lead to limited function of the handbrake lever.

Cause

One possible cause of this may be too long actuation travel or incorrect basic setting of the handbrake mechanism.

Remedy

We recommend the following basic setting:

the handbrake’s lever travel should be set so that the locking limit is reached between 3-7 detents.

Please always observe here the relevant maintenance and repair instructions provided by the vehicle manufacturer!
