Engine runs unevenly in the warm-up phase/Engine stalls after cold start

If the engine on the vehicles mentioned above stalls after starting or does not run smoothly when cold, a leak in the intake area may be the cause. There may be various error codes relating to incorrect air flow stored in the control unit. The check engine light may come on.

Special attention should be paid to the connection between the mass airflow sensor and the air filter. The sealing ring may be damaged or incorrectly fitted.

To remedy this, disconnect the connection and check that the sealing ring is correctly installed. It may have to be replaced.

In some cases, the sealing ring may be missing completely. It was forgotten during previous maintenance or repair work.
