Peugeot 307 - Poor acceleration performance | HELLA
Peugeot
307 HDI
Engine code: 9HZ (DV6TED4)
Model year: 2004 - 2005
Poor acceleration performance
Noise in the vicinity of the splash wall
Engine control lamp lights up sporadically
Fault code: P0100, P3008
If the vehicle listed above demonstrates poor acceleration performance in conjunction with flapping noises in the vicinity of the splash wall, this may be caused by a defective intake manifold.
The intake manifold consists of two plastic housing halves bonded together. A leaky bonded joint (A) causes air to escape as boost pressure increases, while also making a distinctive noise. Depending on the size of the leak, the following fault entries may occur in the engine control unit.
P0100 - Air-mass sensor malfunction
P3008 - Air flow too strong

Repair note
If a leak is detected, the intake manifold must be completely replaced. It cannot be repaired. Replacing the intake manifold requires removing the high-pressure fuel lines for the injection valves (injectors).
In order to avoid leaks later, carefully remove and re-install the lines.
Carry out an extensive test drive!
