Malfunction of the engine electronics
In the above vehicles, a defective engine wiring harness may cause malfunctions.
The engine wiring harness may chafe at the plastic housing of the charge air duct and cause damage. This may cause various malfunctions of the engine electronics.
The following chassis numbers may be affected:
- 7 V 600002 to 8 V 627360
- 7 Y 719579 to 8 Y 725130
To remedy, the wiring harness should be inspected, repaired and rerouted.
