Noise from the rear of the vehicle when starting up
On the vehicles mentioned above, non-specific, knocking or clicking noises may occur from the vehicle rear area. These are particularly noticeable when starting off or when changing from forward to reverse.
- Remove the drive shaft joint of the rear wheel hub (if necessary, remove the drive shaft)
- Clean the contact surfaces of the drive shaft joint and wheel bearing (wheel hub)
- Apply special lacquer (A0009890152) to the contact surface of the drive shaft and allow to dry for at least 1 hour
- Mount the drive shaft, using a new fastening nut and observing the torque specification
- Carry out a test drive
