Software flaw in the engine control unit
In the case of the above-mentioned vehicles with manual transmission, a software flaw in the engine control unit can cause the engine control lamp to suddenly light up while the car is being driven and the error code P0135/P0325 to be stored in the control unit. In some cases, the engine also misfires.
The error can be corrected by means of a software update. Prior to such updating, electrical and mechanical sources of error should first be excluded.
Furthermore, it is advisable to contact a Fiat workshop.
