Left fog lamp always on in Citroën C3
On the vehicles mentioned above, the left fog lamp may light up permanently. Error code A98F (error left fog lamp) is stored in the multifunction control unit.
The cause may be a fault in the fuse box (relay plate 1) in the engine compartment.
The following steps should be taken to rectify the problem:
- Switch off the ignition
- Wait 10 minutes
- Disconnect the battery's ground cable
- Disconnect the middle 28-PIN multi-plug in the fuse box
- Connect the battery's ground cable
- Switch on the ignition
If the fog lamp no longer lights up, there is a defect within the fuse box. To restore the correct function, the fuse box should be replaced.
