If a customer complains about the above problem, this could be caused by water entering the relevant cable harness. Clogged water drains from the evaporator case lead to the accumulation of water. Overflowing water penetrates through the plug connection into cable harness installed at the evaporator case. Sometimes the harness itself may be the cause. By an incorrect installation of the harness, it pushes on the drain hoses, reducing the cross section. In this case, proceed as follows:
- Check the water drains for flow and clean if necessary.
- Check the routing of the cable harness and reroute if necessary.
- Dry the plug connection and check for corrosion and clean or replace if necessary.
