If the indicated problem occurs in the above vehicle, a contact problem/ charred bulb holder of the rear combination lamp could be the possible cause.

Repair note:
- Opening vehicle rear door.
- Unclipping left and/or right cover (C-pillar) using e.g. a long wedge.
- Opening cover of left and/or right storage compartment in trunk.
- Removing first-aid kit and electric air pump from left storage compartment in trunk (left rear combination lamp).
- Folding right storage compartment in trunk inside (right combination lamp).
- Disconnecting electric plug connection.
- Checking electric cables, plugs, contacts and the rear light for further damage,
see charred plug socket. (Fig.3).
