On the above mentioned vehicles it is possible that selected temperature changes in the "cold" direction are only
implemented with a delay. During the first few minutes after the temperature change, warm air is still output. In many cases this problem is caused by a faulty air-conditioning control unit. The replacement of the control unit can often rectify the problem. The modified control unit is marked with the identifier "S40" (see drawing). This identifier should also be on the replacement part.
If a modified unit has already been fitted, the system is to be checked for the cause of the problem.
