Incorrect display on the instrument cluster
On the above-mentioned vehicle model, the display on the instrument cluster may sometimes be offset. This fault occurs after the vehicle has been stationary for a longer period of time and can be rectified for a while again after switching the ignition off/on. This defect may recur at irregular intervals.
If the above-mentioned defect should occur, it may be related to a software error in the instrument cluster. A firmware update of the instrument cluster electronics can help here. In such a case, the software version has to be checked and also updated if necessary. A software update can be carried out, for example, via Hella-Gutmann macsRemote Services or by using a pass-through-capable diagnostic device from the mega macs series. Furthermore, registered access to the vehicle manufacturer's online portal is required.
If the appropriate equipment is not available, please contact an authorised specialist workshop.
