That is why the tried-and-tested mega macs 77 is now bringing about a major boost in growth for you as it hurtles towards the future. With the autumn software update, Version 57, the top diagnostic unit from Hella Gutmann Solutions currently available is getting more than just a freshening up: it has indeed been given new thought structures and even a new face. You can expect a full flash that will create new features and skills.
"For this update, which involves installing a new firmware on the devices, about eight times the amount of data of a usual software update must be transferred and installed on the devices," explains Filippo Ladisi, the project manager responsible for the update. "Once the installation is complete, a new world opens up for users. It's a bit like switching between several smartphone generations all at once."
It seems quite unusual at first: but as soon as you start, the display shows the open vehicle selection and, next to it, a changeable menu bar (sidebar). It is amazingly practical and the key to accessing information quickly. It navigates between menu levels and functions in the quickest way possible. For, after all, the logic behind the system architecture is based on the design of our smartphones.
Although the intention is that you can now enjoy navigating the mega macs 77 much more, that is, of course, not the main aim or advantage. Its content is much more important. The following comment from Ladisis sums it all up well: "Everything that the mega macs 77 had to offer in the past is still available – for example the real-time repair concept and the guided measurements. Now, some practical features are taking centre stage. Many users overlooked these features before because, in the mega macs' old structures, they could only be reached indirectly. Furthermore, the mega macs 77 boasts a handful of new features right from day one. Others will follow – a very large package is planned for the autumn of 2020".

1. Vehicle identification
A clear introduction to diagnostics: on the left-hand sidebar, tap the vehicle selection icon and select the search type. It is now almost impossible to make an error when entering the VIN and key number into the optimised input screen. Implausible entries are automatically detected. Further details on the stored vehicle are immediately shown on the right when the technician is double-checking the information. This means that it can be detected at an early stage if the vehicle does not match up. You can also see which diagnostics functions are available.

2. Important information about the vehicle
All important information is available at a glance at the start of the diagnostics process: details such as the position of the OBD socket, service information and any recall actions, etc. If the vehicle is selected via the car history, any past work carried out on the vehicle is automatically displayed. For example, you can see which work steps a colleague has already carried out on the vehicle.

3. Component-based search
The time-saving search function: if, for example, an error code or a related repair tip refers to a specific component, this can be entered as a term in the upper search bar with the magnifying glass symbol. Then, all vehicle information that contains this term is displayed. Simply by touch you can immediately access the corresponding component, e.g. in the circuit diagram, via repair instructions or, if necessary, in the diagnostics database.

4. App launcher
All options for the mega macs 77 with SDI at a glance: frequently used applications, diagnostics functions and vehicle information from the app launcher can be dragged into the sidebar and then selected there very quickly, just like shortcut apps on a mobile phone. You can access the app launcher via the black arrow positioned in the middle of the sidebar.
