Hella Gutmann Solutions receives CLEPA Innovation Award 2023
For the eighth time, the most advanced developments for the road mobility market have now been honored with the Innovation Awards initiated by CLEPA (European Association of Automotive Suppliers). The focus of the Innovation Award 2023 was on the categories 'Digitalʼ and 'Greenʼ. A jury of around 30 experts determined the top innovators in both categories, which were announced on October 18 in Brussels: Hella Gutmann Solutions received the Top Innovator 2023 award in the 'Digitalʼ category. The international jurors from science, industry and research centers were convinced by the groundbreaking development of the "Automatic Diagnostics" function recently implemented in the mega macs diagnostic software.
"We are pleased that the high utility and importance of diagnostic automation in the face of increasingly complex vehicle systems is seen and honored in expert circles," says Hella Gutmann CSO Jörg Schläfke, who accepted the award in Brussels. "In fact, we are convinced that Automatic Diagnosis will soon be a standard feature in everyday workshop operations. We are proud to be able to make a small contribution to securing the future of IAM participants with this innovation."
The Automatic Diagnosticsʼ function has recently become available without limitation to garages using a current diagnostic device with SDI software from Hella Gutmann Solutions. For the first time, it combines experience and data from 30 years of system diagnostics on vehicles with artificial intelligence (AI). If the automatic mode is selected on the device display, an entire process chain runs automatically in less than five minutes, which ends with the cause of the fault being narrowed down to a specific component. Initial feedback from European automotive workshops confirms that diagnostic processes are on average around 25 percent faster and that parts orders are also more accurate. This makes it clear that once you have clicked on the mega macs 'Automatic Diagnosticsʼ button, you will do it again and again!
