Brake hoses

Outstanding impulse resistance, more than 900 brake hoses are available from HELLA, all of which are characterised by a long lifetime and rugged hose fitting connections.

To meet our strict quality and safety requirements, our brake hoses surpass all SAEJ1401 specifications many times over. All of our hoses are made of a special rubber compound and have an integrated braid that significantly reinforces the hose as a whole and offers resistance to pressure. Thanks to the standard plug-and-play design of our brake hoses, they can be fitted simply and easily at any time.

Exceptionally high quality standards require special testing procedures. By carrying out regular checks and inspections, we ensure that HELLA brake hoses are absolutely safe, reliable and durable at all times. We carry out the following test procedures on an ongoing basis

  • cold bending test
  • brake fluid compatibility test
  • leak test
  • burst pressure test
  • centrifugal test
  • static ozone resistance
  • hot pulse test

These test procedures enable us to demonstrate the maximum resistance capability of the products to external and internal influences. This is extremely important, as the functional safety, durability and longevity of brake hoses after all depends on their ruggedness and ability to withstand these influences.
