Fuel temperature sensor error code 27277 / 27064:the engine bucks and lacks power
If there are complaints regarding the engine performance or if the engine bucks, a faulty fuel temperature sensor may be the cause (Fig. 1). Often the error code 27277 and/or 27064 (signal implausible) is also stored in the engine control unit. After replacing the sensor, the error memory should be cleared using a diagnostic device, e.g. the Hella-Gutmann Mega-Macs series, and a test drive carried out.
