Radiator fan runs constantly
Battery is discharged
In the above vehicles, a faulty radiator fan control unit can cause the radiator fan to run constantly, and the battery will discharge.
In the worst case, this can cause a vehicle fire.
Vehicles with the following chassis number may be affected:
- WV****7H*3H000141 to 7H*7H027827
- WV****7J*4X000874 to 7J*6X035396
The vehicle manufacturer is already aware of the problem. In the wake of a recall, the vehicles should be checked and the control unit or the wiring should be replaced.
Nevertheless, one may assume that for various reasons not all vehicles have been checked and repaired. Please note this information in connection with complaints regarding the radiator fan and battery.
