Air-conditioning system is not functioning

No error code recorded

If the air conditioning on one of the above vehicles fails, you should first check the fuses and the magnetic clutch. If they are OK you can then check the high and low pressures. If your measurements show that the high-pressure side and the low-pressure side are at the same pressure (around 6bar), this indicates a fault (e.g. contamination, see picture) in the regulating valve integrated into the wobble plate of the compressor.

When the air conditioning is switched on, the pressure on the high-pressure side should be between 8 and 15bar, and on the low-pressure side around 2bar.

Resolution:

The manufacturer makes no provision for a repair, in other words the compressor should be replaced. Before doing this you must flush out the entire air conditioning system and replace the refrigerant dryer and expansion valve.
