Volkswagen Golf IV - Air recirculation function | HELLA

Volkswagen

Golf IV

With manual temperature control

Air recirculation function

The above vehicles can experience a supposed

failure of the air recirculation function.

The indicator light in the air recirculation switch (figure) can fail prematurely in the above vehicles. This mistakenly leads to the assumption that there is an electrical fault in the switch.

Before replacing the switch or carrying out extensive troubleshooting, the light bulb should be checked or replaced to make sure it works.
