Troubleshooting, cause and remedy

During a test drive, it was found that the noise occurred at an engine speed of between 1500 rpm - 2500 rpm. This noise was localised to the front area of the vehicle.

The cause of the noise is inadequate fastening of the brake booster vacuum line resulting from a faulty retaining clip (see picture).

Remedy: Replace the old retaining clip with a new (modified) one. OE part number: 2073033

Finally a test drive should be performed in order to run checks on the repair work
