ABS warning lamp not functioning

A problem in the instrument cluster may prevent a failure in the ABS system from being displayed. Even during the self-test, after turning on the ignition, the ABS warning lamp does not light up.

Vehicles may be affected that were built between 26/05/2008 and 12/11/2008.

The vehicle manufacturer has already addressed the problem and checked the vehicles in the wake of a recall campaign, replacing the instrument clusters where necessary.

Nevertheless, one may assume that for various reasons not all vehicles have been checked and repaired. Please note this information in connection with maintenance work on the above mentioned vehicles.
