Renault Trafic II - Loss of coolant | HELLA

Renault

Trafic II

Model year: starting 2007

Air-conditioning system with an evaporator

Loss of coolant

Damaged coolant hose

In the above vehicles, a damaged coolant hose may lead to the loss of coolant. When replacing the hose, the condenser should also be replaced.

If coolant loss is observed on such a vehicle, special attention should be paid to the coolant hose between compressor and condenser. The hose can break due to vibrations caused by the condenser. These vibrations could be caused by a defective or non-existent tight attachment of the condenser. The auto manufacturer should in the meantime provide an additional bracket for the condenser.

Tip:

To prevent repeated damage, not only the hose, but also the condenser should be replaced. Be sure that the condenser has an additional bracket. Alternatively, a condenser of the type "air conditioning unit with additional rear end evaporator" could also be used.
