Rear light failure

If a customer complains about the above problem, this could be caused by a defective licence-plate light. No error code is recorded. Fuses, cables and connectors also do not exhibit any fault. In this case the problem is caused by the way in which the lamp failure monitor operates. The left and right licence-plate lights are each associated with the corresponding rear light. If the comfort control device detects a faulty licence-plate light it switches off all the lighting functions for the corresponding rear light. Once the licence-plate lightbulb has been replaced its rear light will also regain its function. This exact type of function monitoring and switching is present only on the CC variant of the 307.
