Malfunction of the lighting system
The light switch position is not being detected
The light switch position in the above vehicles may not be detected by the control electronics in certain cases. If this happens, the lighting system may not switch on due to faulty software.
Repair note
The vehicle manufacturer has already addressed the issue and notified the owners of all the affected models.
To remedy the above problem, the software needs to be updated at the relevant vehicles by a specialist garage.
For various reasons, it can be assumed that not all vehicles may have been inspected or repaired.
