Brake light switch failure

If a complaint is made about the TSC lamp ("Traction control") and/or the ASC lamp ("Active stability control") lighting up in the above vehicle, this may indicate a faulty brake light switch.

A faulty silicone seal can lead to moisture getting into the brake light switch.

This moisture can lead to a malfunction or complete failure of the brake light switch.

The vehicle manufacturer has already addressed the issue.

The brake light switch should be checked, and replaced with a modified brake light switch if necessary, in the specialist workshop.
