Failure of the air-conditioning system

The above vehicles can experience engine overheating and/or failure of the air-conditioning system.

A short circuit in the radiator/condenser fan relay can cause the fan and/or air-conditioning system to fail. There is also the risk of engine overheating. In some cases, the electrical wiring and contacts can become scorched. To remedy this situation, the relay should be replaced and possibly damaged wiring components should be repaired or replaced.

The vehicle manufacturer has already taken up the problem and has notified the owners of the affected vehicles. Nevertheless, one may assume that for various reasons not all vehicles have been checked and repaired.

Please keep this information in mind, especially if there are complaints with regard to engine/coolant temperature and problems with the air-conditioning system.
